Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description


Seeking a contract Manufacturing Engineer-5 month contract with potential to be long term. This company specializes in lifesaving medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition. They manufacture medical device/drug systems & pharmaceutical products. You will be responsible for approving the documentation for the backend of this process. They will be approving the FAT’s from their customer base, and looking at SAT’s once the equipment is officially being approved onsite. Along with other small projects if necessary.

Ideal Candidate has the following:

  • B.S. in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering – any Engineering could work
  • Pharmaceutical would be a PLUS, but not a must have. Food or Chemical could also work. Any plant that builds custom equipment that needs to do a Factory Acceptance Test or Site Acceptance Test is the primary focus
  • 1-5+ years of experience, not someone straight out of college but first job change is ideal
  • Automation experience would be highly preferred – FK’s equipment is highly automated
  • Experience communicating and approving documentation from vendors – analytical with documentation and paperwork

  • Develop new production equipment to improve manufacturing processes
  • Provide production support for manufacturing and assembly equipment
  • Provide engineering support for existing manufacturing processes
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods
  • Maintain and improve current manufacturing assembly process
  • Implementing continuous improvement in manufacturing
  • Utilize lean manufacturing methods to enhance manufacturing efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to continually improve efficiencies at manufacturing facilities
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes by reviewing exisitng product and manufacturing processes
