What you will do

The Procurement & Inventory Manager will be responsible for the strategy, planning and management of companies procurement and inventory management functions. This manager will play a key role in helping to design and optimize the procurement and inventory management within the organization. This person will work in fast-paced environments that require exceptional written, verbal and client-service skills. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has a self-starter mindset and can bring new ideas to contribute to ongoing process improvement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the Raw Material supplies for two US manufacturing facilities (IL and CA)
  • Manage forecasting of all inventory / replenishment - domestic and international. Closely collaborate with Israel HQ on forecasting models.
  • Research, procure and implement forecasting modules.
  • Developing and executing sourcing strategies grounded in a thorough understanding of supply markets and delivers significant, sustainable reductions in cost per corporate goals.
  • Conducting cost benefit analysis for identifying strategic sourcing recommendations
  • Developing, leading, and improving companies procurement process for all commodities
  • Negotiating and reviewing procurement contracts and providing advice on commercial transactions.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and internal resources to build and maintain data sources into Microsoft NAV/Dynamics.
  • Developing and delivering competitive cost evaluations and benchmarks
  • Managing the supply base including contract management, business reviews and development of strategies for on-going improvements in business performance
  • Developing benchmarks comparing companies purchasing costs to our competitors and the marketplace
  • Preparing and presenting cost competitive reports to all levels of management.
  • KPI analytics - prepare, understand, and goal set.
  • Providing relevant industry cost information to buyer and key management to assist in negotiations and maintenance of various purchases.

Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

  • 7+ years of experience in a Purchasing role
  • Experience in wholesale distribution is a plus.
  • Experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Advanced experience using Excel including formulas and pivot tables
  • Must be fluent in Shipping/Logistics including experience working with forwarders, brokers, air freight providers and USMCA documentation.
  • Experience in Microsoft Navision system helpful
  • Positive personality that is committed to supporting others on the team
  • Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented, accurate and organized
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities
  • Able to work with a sense of urgency
  • Possesses strong financial analysis capability
  • Experience with procurement metrics and measurements
