Purchasing Coordinator

Our client, a leading education organization, is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to support their buyers.

Pay: $20/hr.

Start: ASAP

Length: Contract to hire

Job duties

  • Accurately and precisely confirm purchase orders, maintain purchase orders and vendor maintenance with the most up to date information.
  • Resolve shortages and overages with the vendor to allow accounting to 3-way match invoices.
  • Handle/coordinate all emails directed to the purchasing inbox.
  • Responsible for confirming all P.O.'s sent to vendors, follow up on all past due P.O.'s to keep these at a minimum and keeping track of all unsent P.O.'s.

Requirements:

  • It is a problem-solving environment, and this role must be able to fix problems immediately (on a micro basis) as well as to find solutions on a macro basis.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with a history of effectively conveying messages appropriate to a variety of audiences internally as well as externally.
