The Assistant Corporate Controller - Manufacturing will work for a Global Manufacturing Company with Annual Revenue $1 Billion+. You will provide critical support to the Vice President and Corporate Controller, the CFO, and the management team of the company. The Assistant Corporate Controller- Manufacturing is responsible for:

    • All areas relating to financial reporting and significant areas of technical accounting including revenue recognition, equity based compensation, accounting for income taxes and complex consolidations issues
    • Supervising the financial reporting manager and team
    • Providing accounting oversight and support for more than 40 subsidiaries worldwide
    • Developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures both at corporate headquarters and at locations worldwide to ensure accurate and timely production of internal and external financial statements
    • Supporting transactions and projects such as acquisition due diligence and integration and systems implementations
    • Coordinating with peers and colleagues at corporate headquarters and globally including regional controllers, treasury, tax, FP&A, internal audit and investor relations
    • Liaison with the company's Executive Leadership as well as general managers of business units, IT department, legal department, strategic business development and others
    • Providing direct support to the Vice President and Corporate Controller and CFO and being an impactful member of the worldwide financial and accounting leadership team
    • Managing tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including financial reporting and associated quarterly and annual SEC filings, year-end audit preparation and the support of related areas such as investor relations and ESG reporting

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and applicable standards to include:
    • Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes and financial reporting
    • Coordinating with external/SOX and internal auditors
    • Determining staffing requirements and planning, assigning, directing work
    • Implementing procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiencies
    • Monitoring and appraising staff performance, setting goals and objectives and providing staff development
    • Researching and implementing technical accounting standards
    • Performing P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analytics on a monthly basis with comparatives to prior year and budgets; identify and communicate any areas of concern
    • Supporting budget and forecasting activities
    • Collaborating with the other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
    • Monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient systems, procedures and use of resources, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
    • Advising accounting staff, as well as other departments, regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
    • Assisting the Corporate Controller in due diligence, accounting and integration for M&A transactions.
    • Working cross functionally with operations personnel, IT and others to implement and improve systems.

The Successful Applicant

Position Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from accredited college or university
    • CPA designation or international equivalent
    • Seven to ten years' experience with prior managerial experience in the financial reporting or technical accounting including specifically revenue recognition, equity based compensation account and accounting for income taxes for a multinational company
    • Must be able to thrive in a fast -pace setting.
    • Experience developing and improving processes and systems a strong plus
    • Experience with manufacturing companies and associated accounting issues a strong plus
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
    • Experience with a major international accounting firm
    • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
