Senior Finance Analyst


Job Description

Location: Chicago, IL. The role of Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting organization wide financial management. Partnering department heads and the corporate finance team to ensure best practice financial management and budget forecasting practices are adopted across the organization RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and monitor all financial deliverables related to Above Unit Costs/Corporate SG&A Support Home Office department heads in developing budget and forecasts Manage consolidation of reporting for Compass Partner with the financial accounting team to monitor business spend and transactions, ensuring they are in line with company policies and absorbed into the correct cost centers Partner with Corporate Leaders to support optimization of spend and budgeting to maximize efficiency Develop reports and improvement plans for departments who are not performing as planned Oversee accrual processes to ensure these accurately reflect anticipated spend Thoroughly and accurately uses applicable Levy financial systems (SAP Business Planning and Consolidation) Ensures all reports and financial statements are accurate prior to distribution Other duties and projects as assigned COMPETENCIES Focusing on Clients & Consumers * Demonstrate personal commitment to delivering an excellent service * Responds positively and flexibly to customer/Stakeholder needs * Recognize when to escalate an issue for support * Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of support to customers/Stakeholders Developing Winning Teams * Take personal responsibility for solving problems * A team player: works flexibly and takes on additional tasks to help others * Seeks and uses feedback to improve own skills and performance * Behave in a manner which is consistent with our values Building Strong Relationships * Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, openness and honesty in interactions with others * Actively collaborate with others to deliver results * Understands and respects others' views and opinions * Clear, concise verbal and written communication * Remain calm and positive under pressure Seeing the Bigger Picture * Understand the Vision and Strategy for the company and their department * Demonstrate the Levy Values in day-to-day working * Understands how own role contributes to the success of the wider business Innovating & Improving * Acknowledge and learns from own mistakes * Enjoys trying out new things outside own 'comfort zone' * Willingly takes on new tasks and responsibilities * Proactively identify problems or issues and suggest potential solutions Delivering Results * Understands the factors that drive business performance * Interpret key performance data (e.g. KPIs) to understand how own team is performing * Plan and manage own time to deliver deadlines and standards * Invest time and energy to do things safely and well * demonstrate drive, tenacity and resilience to get things done; copes well with pressure and set backs SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS * 2-5 years- experience in Finance or Accounting role * Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required * Working with a range of stakeholders from different disciplines and levels of seniority * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Levy is an equal opportunity employer.
