Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Maintenance controller to join the Network Services Team. This position reports to the Manager, Aircraft Maintenance Control Center (AMCC). As an Aircraft Maintenance Controller, they will be sitting in the Network Operations Center at their downtown location. Main responsibility is to coordinate the maintenance, repair, and return to service of the Gogo WiFi system on-board customer aircraft, in order to provide the highest level of aircraft availability. 50% of the job will consist of answering phone calls, and emails where they will need to troubleshoot technical aircraft issues, and answer internal software and configuration questions in order to solve problems that the line maintenance personnel report. The other 50% will be receiving tickets (20-50/day) where they will need to troubleshoot remotely, and solve the issue, or coordinate an action plan. The team using ServiceNow for ticketing. The ideal candidate will have a technical/networking background with exposure to an aviation environment. The individual will ensure that all work performed is accomplished in accordance with all company, airline partner, and FAA regulations.



Experience in aviation, aircraft or airline environment knowledge of regulations and how aircraft based hardware works, line maintenance or hanger maintenance

A&P License

Ability to address and troubleshoot system and networking issues associated with aircraft equipment

Computer science knowledge or degree (Microsoft Office, LINUX, IP networking and Windows)

Flexible work schedule required including shift, weekend, and holidays

Plusses:

A valid FAA Airframe Certificate.

Knowledge with aircraft wiring (power, data bus, discrete I/O, quadrax)

FAA, RTCA & ARINC standards and regulations familiarity

Bachelors degree (esp. in computer science)
