•*Description** The purpose of this position is to provide effective and efficient solutions for delivery of customer reads, bills and letters for all four Southern Company Gas utilities. The key objective of the incumbent’s responsibility is to optimize the balance between enhancing the customer experience, increasing competitive advantage and reducing an operating budget of approximately $10 million. This position is technically heavy and is dependent of decision science, analytics, and knowledge of computer systems. This roll has one direct report: Billing Solutions Analyst.
•*JOB REQUIREMENTS:** (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills) + BA/BS degree in business, accounting, economics, technology or similar fields, or equivalent work experience + 6-8 years combined experience with the utilities or other related experience + 6-8 years managing financial and operational metrics + Ability to motivate & develop direct reports and deliver constructive feedback + Excellent communication skills + Advanced presentation skills + Excellent leadership skills + Excellent technical and information systems knowledge
•*MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** Specify major duties performed by the job and % of time spent on duties. The purpose of this position is to manage and facilitate billing related activities, technology and solutions for the bill printing, imaging and address quality for over 33 million bills annually. Major duties include:
•*Project Management** – 30% Sole resource liaison for all 3rd party vendors, logistics, technical expertise and resolution. Requires participation on all requirement sessions, technical design, weekly progress and task assignment meetings, project update meetings, testing and implementation. + Existing major projects in flight now for this role are: + Online Banking + Complex Billing + CCB Upgrade + Customer High Bill Alert- AMI + Striata Enhancements – Phase 3 + VNG Rate Case – Speedpay/ACH Bank Validation Process + Project Roles on Major Capital and TO O&M projects -- PM, business lead, scripter, tester
•*Contract Administration** – 25% Adherence, price reconciliation, amendment and extension activities, legal consultation/coordination, Southern Company vendor risk assessment processes for existing projects, vendors, products and services, Tier 1 vendors and new vendor relationships
•*Monthly Financial Analysis & Reconciliation Review** (Budget forecast, Variance analysis, Reforecasting) – 10%
•*Analysis for executive leadership and system organization** – 10% + Postage analysis, Bill Print Analysis, Paperless analysis
•*Production Invoice processing** – 10% + Invoice processing and analysis for all external vendor partners for bill print and solutions - $4 million budget
•*Oversight of core day to day activities for bill print** – 10%
•*Process Improvement and Ad Hoc Activities** – 5% + Activities with 3rd Party Vendors, UBS, Training-- e.g. Return Mail Process, Credit Season processes, Contact Center processes, etc. + Facilitate Manual Regulatory Compliance Mailing external to Broadridge Standard Process (NG Part 501 Billing Rates annual disclosure)
