JOB PURPOSE: This position serves as the entry-level position into the Order Operations section within the Global Order Management Division. Position would administer a fixed number of dealers for all order management related processes used in the section. Position will focus on low complexity dealers that have a fixed range of machines, with standard process and documentation requirement. Number of dealers the position covers will be relatively fewer than the more senior positions. The focus will be on smaller-lower cost products with smaller number of models. Dealers can have high or low volumes, but with little special requests. Commercial factors such as regional market, pricing, competition, and product position are less challenging.

Position would partner with the various product groups who supply product to the market to ensure orders from dealers can be efficiently processed through to the various manufacturing facilities for scheduling and eventual delivery of our product to our dealers and customers

Business Partners: Dealer Network within a DSD, Manufacturing plants, district office, product and marketing groups, GRMG, Accounting, Treasury, Caterpillar Integrated Logistics Services and other internal/external business partners
Travel: Less than 5% travel would be required

JOB DUTIES: Position will be expected to apply all order management policies and practices during the processing of new machines, engines and work tool orders received from the dealer network. These orders will be processed in a timely, accurate manner to the manufacturing plant for scheduling, build and ship. Position will be responsible to resolve any grief with the order prior to releasing to the plant or product distribution center. Position will also be responsible to release any requested changes to orders through to the plants when these changes fall within the prescribed guidelines and provide timely response to dealer inquiries regarding the status of any order being managed. Position would also work with GRMG Pricing Division to resolve any pricing grief and be responsible for timely invoicing of the orders. Position requires liaising with Integrated Logistics Services team and service providers for shipping arrangements and timely mailing of the relevant shipping documents.

Position could also be assigned to administer any of the supporting processes used within the Order Operations group such as creation and mailing of Manufacturing Certificate of Origin documents, Sarbanes-Oxley control testing and compliance, partial machine return claim processing, etc.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: Position requires basic knowledge of the Caterpillar product line and dealer network. Personal computer skills in the area of electronic mail, Microsoft Office are required. Basic knowledge of Caterpillar order environment tools such as CMOPS. Mach 1, EOMP, TOMP, DOCS, and MOMP is desired. All candidates would need to demonstrate strength in the areas of customer service, communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.
