Technical Inside Sales Representative

Who we are looking for:
Atkore is seeking an ambitious, driven, and team-oriented professional who is looking for an opportunity to show what they can do in an entry-level but critical technical role, that will use their technical background by applying it in a practical way to drive actual results – and launch a long-term career with a growing company.
What you’ll do:
Work in partnership with a technical Sales manager to drive demand through project, contractor / end-user lead management. Assist in cross-selling and up-selling Atkore technical services and solutions.
Manage a funnel of opportunities, leveraging CRM and industry tools like Dodge.
Maintain contacts and sales activities in Salesforce.com
. Support Sales Managers and Reps with technical data, take-off’s, and competitive material cross
May support or assist in quoting. Generate, deliver, and close transactional quotes on behalf of Sales Managers and Reps
Proactively contact electrical contractors and engineering firms to assess needs, and build relationships
Assist the Sales Managers in creating, updating, and executing formal and informal presentations to electrical contractors, end-users, and specifiers
What you bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Strong knowledge of and 0-2 years’ experience in electrical sales or electrical trades.
Strong ability to communicate with customers and assess customer needs.
Within 3 months, you’ll:
Complete your new hire “Immersion” so that you are ready to rock in your new role.
Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
Have a strong understanding of Atkore’s products and their application.
Within 6-months, you’ll:
Have a strong understanding of Atkore’s businesses, markets, customers and strategic direction.
Within 12-months, you’ll:
Be capable of strategically selecting opportunities and driving priorities.
Win and convert business in Atkore’s focused product categories with new accounts.
