The Position: we’re looking for a Financial Services Representative to broker various life insurance products for our clients, consulting with clients to locate the best coverage at a price they can easily afford. Average agents earn $100,000 their first year, plus bonuses and other incentives, in this fully remote position.

Financial Services Representative

Reports to the Agency Owner.


Job Overview:

We are looking to hire an entry-level or experienced Financial Services Representative to persuade clients to purchase life insurance and other financial services using a consultative, needs-based approach. The Representative will broker between various A-rated insurance carriers to ensure the client gets the best coverage for their individual needs and budget. The Financial Services Representative’s responsibilities include responding to clients inquiries in a professional manner, accurately ascertaining client needs, guiding clients through the insurance application and placement process, cross-selling other products when it would benefit the client, and attending various training and development meetings as required. Representative should also be able to follow up with clients to ensure that they are satisfied with the coverage purchased and service provided to generate referral business and potentially build the distribution team. Ideally, this individual would grow into a leadership role within their first year via team building and consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.

To be successful as a Financial Services Representative, you should be able to build rapport with clients and continually meet or exceed sales goals. Ultimately, a top-performing Life Insurance Agent should be knowledgeable of insurance regulations as well as demonstrate exceptional communication, analytical, and customer service skills.


  • Call pre-qualified leads to schedule virtual meetings with clients to discuss their financial needs and goals.

  • Conduct needs analysis with clients to determine their financial needs.

  • Assist clients in acquiring appropriate coverage for themselves and their families. 

  • Develop and sustain long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and client referrals.

  • Suggest viable solutions to improve clients' financial statuses.

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our financial products to advise clients accordingly.


  • Be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check.

  • Active Life and Health Insurance license in the resident state.

  • Sound understanding of financial legislation.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite apps including Gmail, Docs, and Sheets

  • Strong mathematical skills.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
